Our Story

I'm Toni, a working Mom with a background in fine art, now working in tech, and the founder of NH Babywearing Collective.

NH Babywearing Collective was founded in September 2025 after I ran into the same wall so many parents do: no way to try a carrier before buying one.

Baby carriers are expensive, and it's hard to commit to one when they sometimes cost several hundred dollars without ever having tried it. Everyone has an opinion on what carrier is "best," but the more I looked into it, the more I realized there is no single best: every baby is different, and every body is different. The only way to really know is to try.

I'd heard of babywearing lending libraries before, but I was never able to make it to a local meet-up. My maternity leave ended up being spent in the NICU with my little one, and by the time I was back at work, most meet-ups were happening during the week, during working hours, exactly when I couldn't be there.

NH Babywearing Collective exists to close that gap. It was built to support all families, from all backgrounds and circumstances, not just those with aligned schedules. My goal is simple: families should be able to try as many carriers as they need to find the one that actually works for their lifestyle, budget, and body, instead of guessing and hoping.

Outside of NHBWC, I also run Northern Kin Print Co, my Etsy shop for art prints and stickers, a little outlet for the art side of things. You'll even find a few NHBWC stickers in the mix. If you're looking for another way to support the library, a visit to the shop goes a long way.
